Steve Cicurel is a partner of Camelot Venture Group, LLC, where he works closely on all sales and marketing initiatives with all portfolio companies and analyzes potential new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Camelot Venture Group in October 2008, Steve Cicurel was a partner at Camelot Ventures for 8 years where he worked closely with all of their portfolio companies, focusing on sales and marketing, call center strategies, internal process improvements, leadership development, and the recruiting and hiring of key personnel. Steve Cicurel is also responsible for the research and due diligence of all potential investments.

At Quicken Loans, a previous portfolio company, Steve was part of the team that built a state-of-the-art lead allocation engine, distributing sales leads for the 1,000 plus mortgage bankers, matching each one with the most appropriate mortgage banker in less than one minute. As a member of Quicken Loans Internal Process Team, Steve worked with the sales and marketing teams to eliminate inefficiencies and streamline all processes for maximum effectiveness. In addition, he aided in the creation of the Quicken Loans Leadership program. Initially intended to assist sales leaders in growth and development, the program was eventually implemented throughout the entire company.

At Fathead, another previous portfolio company, Steve worked in all areas, with a particular focus on marketing. His responsibilities included working with management and team members on the development of the go-to-market strategy, national television campaign, affiliate and search channels, website (, retail channel, and new product development.

Steve’s recruiting and hiring includes Cleveland Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry and Head Coach Mike Brown, former Fathead CEO Brock Weatherup, Flashseats CEO Sam Gerace, and former Cleanrest CEO Mike Linn.

Steve is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
